<Background and Purpose>
To review the current methods of supply for military uniforms in response to a changing environment, and to propose an improved standard for the provision of military clothing
◎ With the reduction of mandatory service periods, introduction of a uniform layering
system and the growing demand for an efficient budget execution, it is necessary
to review the current supply system for military clothing.
◎ This study aims to improve user satisfaction and contribute to the efficient
management of budget by proposing a supply method with reasonable criteria for
the provision of military uniforms.
<Research Results>
This paper proposes ideas to establish an improved standard for the supply of military uniforms and revise associated policies
◎ Suggests an adjustment in the items of supply by comparing the current state
of military uniform provision with other groups.
- Based on the assessment of combat-relatedness and in-depth interviews with
soldiers, this study has additionally identified the list of essential items to be
excluded from the adjustment.
◎ Suggests a modification of standard supply quantity factoring in relevant
variables
- The standard supply quantity should be modified considering factors like
seasonality and laundry cycle.
- The supply quantity for other items must also be re-calculated via comparison
with other groups.
◎ Analyzes the possible integration of the initial and supplementary supplies
- This study has reviewed various shifts in the supply environment, such as the
reduction of mandatory military service period as well as a growing demand
for an integrated provision of initial and replacement items and, its pros and

replacement supplies with some winter items as an exception
